I'm 38 and feel more like 58 I have 3 teenage children
I am in a relationship of 10 + years I am a BIRMINGHAM CITY FC fan
have been since I was 12 years old and will be till
the day i die. I'm more of an armchair supporter now though.
I am always trying and failing to lose weight.
I have not eaten red meat for 2 years and feel better for it.
I am more happy than sad. I don't have a lot compared to some but more than I need.
I BELIEVE IN GOD, KARMA AND FAIRIES
I Love all forms of art and design from graphics to
sketch ... photography to poetry and everything in between
ART
Art has been my longest love.
I was apparently born with a pen in one hand and a piece of paper in the other ... or pretty close. ha!
I love all forms of art :
Photography, Music, Poetry, Sketch, Watercolour, Craft
Making Jewellery , Digital Design etc
The only thing i never seem to have been any good at is sculpting , model making.
That said I'm so impatient anything that takes longer than half hour to do I'm likely to give up on pretty sharpish. Apart from the odd hand drawn sketch which can take a couple of hours but even then I get frustrated as i like to start and end a piece before the momentum of that idea dies.
I love making ATC's as they are so quick and easy and its lovely to be able to trade them with other people from all over the world ... it's so interesting to see what other people do with theirs. Not to mention hugely inspiring. What a great way to use up free time.
MUSIC
I LOVE MUSIC AND NOT A DAY PASSES WITHOUT
ME STICKING ON A FEW ALBUMS OR LISTENING
TO A SELECTION OF MY VAST MP3 COLLECTION.
Taste wise I am varied in what I like, everything from
reggae to classic FM radio.
I will and do listen to almost everything.

MOVIES & TV
I don't really like having to sit in front of the TV at a designated time
to watch a program and so mostly I don't.
I will catch up on things I feel I missed on BBC i player or other
channel equivalent. I do love costume dramas and I'm a fan of
Big Brother but I cant abide most of the copy cat shows that have
followed. I like east enders if I can be bothered to catch up on the
omnibus episodes on BBC i player, otherwise I cant be bothered
with soaps at all, though I did love them when I was young.
I LOVE a good documentary or fact based program and so
for the above reasons I could not be without my TV but I prefer
Films - which I am mad on ... TOTAL FILM JUNKIE!
As with my music, my taste in films is very diverse.
I love costume drama :
Pride and Prejudice, Sense and Sensibilities, Wuthering Heights and have various versions of them as with a lot of the classics :
Great Expectations, A christmas carol etc
However I also love a good psychological thriller and especially in recent years sci fi horror / thrillers :
Ghosts of mars, Minority Report, Equilibrium etc
One of my fave films recently was THE DEPARTED which doesn't really fit into any of the above categories i suppose. So fair to say i like a bit of everything i guess.
THE EXCEPTION TO NOT SITTING IN FRONT OF THE TV ON
DEMAND IS IF THERE IS A GOOD COMEDY
WHICH I DO HAVE TO BE IN THE MOOD FOR THOUGH ...
COMEDY
Things that make me really laugh out loud :
Extras, The league of gentlemen, Little Britain,Friday night project - now on sundays , Nighty Night, 8 out of 10 cats, Russell Brand
BOOKS
Like with art i have always been a reader.
As a child there was nothing i enjoyed more than being curled up with a book and would mourn my characters when the book came to end. Like losing a friend.
Wizard of oz, heidi, around the world in 80 days
but by far the best : THE WORST WITCH
This book was my savior and at 7 years old i read it over and over again. Never tiring of it. I later thrust it onto my own daughter and luckily she loved it too.
I recently downloaded it from i tunes to see if it was as bewitching as i remembered, though enjoyable sadly it didn't alight 37 year old me as it did 7 year old. ha!
As an adult up until i found the internet I still got through a book a week trying my best to drag it out as long as i could but now I barely read a book every moth or two, which is sad because I do still love it when I can get into one. I listen to lots of audio books via itunes and pod casts and what have you so between that and all my other leisure activities something had to be cutback and sadly it seems reading has taken the biggest knock. Its particularly sad as audio books though very convenient are by no means as enjoyable as good old fashioned book on lap in a quiet corner of the house.
FAVE BOOKS :
Angels and Demons ( Dan Brown ) though i fancied myself a better ending than any of those squished in at the end ha! , The ice house ( Minette Walters ) though all of her books are great and worth a read.
Bright hair about the bone ( Peter Ransley ) though disturbing . Half broken things ( Morag Joss ).
" The worst witch BEST CHILDRENS BOOK "
FAVE THINGS
I love my i pod, psp lite, ps2 and ps3.
I'm a real gadget junkie and can not get enough of these amazing games consoles and gadgets being updated faster than you can get to grips with how fantastic these mini micro chips are they go and reduce the size and increase the memory again. AWESOME!
I do like a good RPG game or Action ,Puzzle games.
Amongst my all time faves :
Resident Evil, Dracula, Broken Sword
OTHER INTERESTS
I have been crazy about Marilyn Monroe for as long as i can recall. She was the very epitome of HOLLYWOOD GLAMOUR and the original blonde bombshell ... in my considered opinion. ha!
Though i don't pretend she was the best actress in the world her beauty and charm made up for what she lacked in oscar performance. Not that she ever had the chance to show her true acting prowess anyway in her comedic bimbo roles ... i just love the aura of marilyn and how she was sexy without being pornographic like today's smut.. OOoo get me - Mary Whitehouse LOL
Amongst my fave other famous people :
ACTORS
Anthony Hopkins, Julianne Moore, Nicole Kidman, Al Pacino, Matt Damon, Ross Kemp, JulieWalters, Dekota Fanning, Steve Mcfadden, Christian Bale, Edward Norton, Bette Davis, Vivien Leigh & so many more! I have added a page of my all time fave people , see link below.
